About Game

True Crime: Streets of LA is an open-world action-adventure game that was the first in the True Crime series. The story follows Nicholas Kang, a suspended police detective who is recruited into the fictional Elite Operations Division to investigate a series of bombings in Chinatown. The game is set in a large, accurately recreated portion of Los Angeles. Gameplay combines elements of third-person shooting, martial arts combat, and driving, as players can solve crimes, engage in car chases, or freely roam the city. It featured a branching storyline that could change based on player success or failure in missions, and a ‘good cop/bad cop’ system that tracked the player’s ethical choices.
